UL Safety Certification

UL’s Safety Certification for products provides a comprehensive review of important safety issues such as electrical shock, fire hazards, mechanical stability, strength and integrity for products such as office panel system, retail fixtures and furniture and bedding with integrated luminaries and electrical outlets, motors and actuators.

UL’s Safety Standards for commercial display furniture include:

  • UL 65, the Standard for Wired Cabinets, is the industry leading standard for display cases and special-purpose cabinets, such as jewelry displays, lighted displays, and merchandise cabinets, which contain electrical wiring with or without illumination.

  • UL 962, the Standard for Household and Commercial Furnishings, is a certification for kiosks, product displays (including refrigerated), cash wraps, carpet-dispensing machines, shelving units, wall systems, computerized information centers, digital camera and video camera displays, and more.
